For Day 1 of the C4 challenge we lay out a plan for the month and share our first snippet from Black Is America. You also get an idea of just how lame and silly this particular host is.
Then, we talk about Lt. John Fox who was a World War II hero from Ohio but not much is known about him. In part 1 we speak with Solace Wales, researcher and author, about the beginning work she did to uncover Lt. Fox’s story. Later we spoke with Carl Westmoreland, Senior Historian at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, about the area John Fox grew up in Wyoming, Ohio.
