Day 8 -Woke By Accident Podcast- Remembering Rayshard Brooks
On this episode of Woke By Accident Podcast, we take a look back at the fatal police shooting of #RayshardBrooks who died June 12, 2020 in Atlanta and the series of twists and turns this case produced. The officers responsible for the shooting, Officer Garrett Rolfe and Officer Devin Brosnan initially faced felony murder, aggravated assault, among other charges in June 2020. After filing their lawsuit against the city however, Rolfe's firing was reversed and he was fully reinstated in May 2021. On August 23, 2022, it was announced that both officers would no longer face any charges and their use of deadly force was notable as reasonable.
